Koahnic Broadcast Corporation (KBC) and Native Voice One (NV1) bring the energy and personality of the Native Youth Olympic (NYO) Games to the radio.
The KNBA news team of Jill Fratis and Rhonda McBride will produce three special one-hour programs, Alaska’s Native Voice: Live from NYO 2026 on Thursday, April 16 through Saturday, April 18 at 12 p.m. daily AKDT.

The program features interviews with athletes, coaches, NYO leaders, and veterans. The traditional games, which were originally depended on for survival, continue to develop the strength and skill of generations of Alaskan Native people. The NYO carries on the games by encouraging young people to strive for their personal best.
Hosting the program is KNBA’s Rhonda McBride and Jill Fratis, providing commentary and floor coverage. Each hour provides commentary and floor coverage. This program features up-close interviews and discussions with NYO participants, leaders and culture bearers. Reporters will provide daily standings and insight on anticipated featured events.
