The Horse Nations Indian Relay Council, Championship of Champions concluded September 23, 2018 crowning a Washington team from the great Colville tribe called NW Express as the world champions. Walla Walla, Washington hosted the event for the first time, it was a beautiful facility and well received by very enthusiastic fans. History was made as we watch the largest gathering of Indian relay teams ever. Over 13 tribes from Canada and the United States were represented. $30,000 was paid out in three laps for the championship race. Today we have results and a short interview with Ashley Abrahamsson.

The Horse Nations Indian Relay Council, 2018 Championship of Champions enjoyed big crowds for the second of the three day event in Walla Walla, Washington. Friday and Saturday were qualifying races in the seven relay heat races, maidens, chiefs and warriors racing for championship Sunday afternoon. Over $50,000 in prize money will be distributed among the winners in each of the categories. We make history in Washington this week as it is the largest gathering of Indian relay horse race teams from the great horse nations with 38 in contention for the championship representing 13 tribes from the First Nations of Canada and American Indian tribal affiliations.

The 4th Annual Horse Nations Indian Relay Council, Championship of Champions, first performance concluded Friday night in Walla Walla, Washington. An enthusiastic audience enjoyed Americas first extreme sport made history having the largest gathering in the history of the sport, with 38 Indian relay teams that included nine teams from the First Nations of Canada.
