KWRR’s Mission Statement is to serve the educational, informational, and cultural needs of Indians, and Non-Indians, both on the reservation and nearby communities.

KWRR is located in the heart of Ethete Wyoming on the Wind River Reservation which is home to the Northern Arapaho Nation and the Shoshone Indian tribes and is located right next to the Exxon Gas Station and the Blue Sky Hall Community Center in Central Wyoming. The area is a large farming and agricultural area that is considered a high desert climate with small communities scattered from 20 miles to 100’s of miles apart.
