KHMA’s Mission Statement is to broadcast information to tribal members on services offered by federal, state, and tribal emergency response management programs in the event of any catastrophic emergency on the Fort Berthold Reservation; KMHA endeavors to disseminate pertinent up to date information on various tribal, state, and federal programs to tribal members separated by distances and the expanse of lakes of Sacaweja. KMHA further strives to offer cultural education, informational, and entertainment programming from local, national, and inter-national sources to tribal members in order to maintain cohesive tribal identities.

KMHA Signed on the air in October, 1983, and serves the communities of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation on the Fort Berthold Reservation.
